LSU TIGERS TAILGATEATHONAPALOOZA!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!

Don't you just want to reach out and pinch their little behinds like my aunt and I did?!?!?!

So, what a FABULOUS TIGER DAY!!!   Wayne and I dropped the kiddos off with pawpaw in Biloxi (for Blake's 10 month birthday :-)  and headed over to Baton Rouge with mom, Uncle Jay and Sherry..............  let the tailgating begin!!!
We, of course, brought lots of great food and drinks and Jay brought a smoker to make some drunken chicken and boudin  and some ribs!!!   WOW!!!  The food was so good!!!
I also enjoyed showing Wayne around campus (Thanks, Scott and Carrie for being tour guides)  and reliving some LSU memories!!

But, even better than the tummy filling yumminess and the campus tour, was  the COMPANY!!!
Is it just me or is my family AWESOME!?!?!   It's not just me.................
We played some football, some "washers", ate great food, shared new news and even had some unexpected news too!!!   It's always a good time when you're with the people you LOVE, right??  :-)

To top it off --- it was the evening of LSU Homecoming and our Tigers went on to beat the Western kentucky Hilltoppers  (what the heck is a hilltopper?? :-)  and go 10-0 for the first time since 1958!!!   WOW!!!  So, very exciting!!   If you were watching the game, you saw me dancing in the stands and cheering until my throat hurt  (mom actually lost her voice -- HA!!)!!!

A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!   (Unless you're not an LSU fan -- in which case, you're crazy anyway.  :-)
Now, we're 12-0 and looking for not only an SEC victory, but a BCS WIN too!!!

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
(Sara -- thank you for your tech support -- I DID IT!!!   Even though you're a Michigan fan -- yeah for beating OSU this weekend -- we'll take you as our LSU friend since you supported this particular blog -- YOU ROCK!!)

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

So, it has been 2 years that my family has enjoyed TAILGATEATHONAPALOOZA  for the LSU Tigers game..... and I, regretfully have not been there  (darn Germany --- where it costs too much to travel home for a TIgers win :-( ).
And this year..... WAYNE  AND  I  GET  TO  GO!!!!
Yes - we're ditching the kids with PawPaw so that we can enjoy a day of TIGER tailgating and band music and overall wonderful FAMILY FUN!!!      I'm so very excited to make it this year!!  ANd, hey, our Tigers are 9-0 too!!!   BONUS!!!
Thanks to my awesome family who will be there and make it that much more memorable!!
Mom - showing up with armloads of LSU shirts and sweaters -- YEAH!!
Jay -- cooking most of the YUMMY food that we will delight it -- awesome!!
Scott -- if I know my brother, his tongue will be hanging out in a lot of pictures!!  HA!!
Todd --  proudly supporting "our team" - whom he really loves (in secret)!! :-)
Carrie and Chris and kids -- lots of smiles and party fun!!!  As always!!
Susie, Jeff and Donna -- bringing the "young" coolness to our group!!
Wayne -- I'm so excited that I finally get to show you MY  LSU!!!    I know you'll love it!!

I'll blog afterwards and show lots of pics of all of the TAILGATEATHONAPALOOZA antics!!!

Happy Hauntings 2011

Wanna hear me scream like a little girl??  Just make me hold hands with a 6 and 4 year old to walk through a "haunted yard"  and you'll hear it.............EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!    I'm such a wuss!! :-)    (Meanwhile the 6 and 4 year old were fine -- laughed actually! :-)

So, as far as costumes go............
I was an "LSU FAN" -- original, I know.
Eve was a cat -- I think she may have LICKED people to thank them for the candy!  EW!
Anna was a ballerina -- so very graceful as she RAN from house to house for treats!
Blake was a lion!  No, I'm not cheap, but that is the same costume that Eve and Anna wore for their first Halloweens -- Wayne likes lions, so I always felt like this costume was special!!!
Wayne -- well he forgot to wear his Halloween shirt ("Forget candy - give me beer") - but he dressed up as the gracious daddy who sat on the porch giving out candy to the neighborhood ghouls and goblins so that I could take the kids around the block!!  Thanks hon.

Our first Halloween here in Florida was a BLAST!!!  I hope yours was great too!!
